What does NetherVoid Mean:
What is Nether-Void? The term itself seems to substantiate the sum of its two components: nothing. Being that both nether and void denote an empty nothingness, should not the two together mean the same? But think about it from a different perspective. When two negatives are put together, do they not produce a positive? No matter how immeasurably large the negative may be, or however insubstantially small, when placed together, they form a positive form which we can understand. So it is with the naming of this vast new country. The two negative terms are used to represent the pain and hardship that we come from and that we are sure to endure on these new plains. However, with our hearts and minds set on creating something new, the two negatives combine to produce our greatest positive: civilization. Upon this Nether-Void we will reproduce, colonize and cultivate our diverse races to expand and thrive. This is the founders hope and dream, our dream. May the many peoples of this new land always strive towards unity and growth above all else. – Hyoku Sounachi
History:
The original idea for NetherVoid started about ten years ago. The concept at that time was to create a world where science, myth, and magic collided to form a cohesive fantasy universe.
These original concepts warped and turned until two people, Chris Poquette, and Zack Feldman, decided to start building this world. In 2003 they started to design and draw out concepts for fictional universes, and worlds that can only exist in the infinite expanse of the human mind. These ideas and concepts were always based in sound scientific principle, as the creators always thought, “Whatever we create has to be believable. Anything we do has to be explainable to someone who has no prior knowledge.” This vision was something of a childlike dream, and although very outlandish, continues to be a part of what NetherVoid is today.
What is NetherVoid Today:
Today, NetherVoid exists primarily as a graphic design and digital art commission based company. NetherVoid creates logos, logotypes, posters, album covers, and web design on a regular basis. However, NetherVoid also continues to stay close to a more traditional side of art making, and creates digital and traditional paintings for clients and customers alike.
Going back to the original concept as well, NetherVoid continues to press concept design, and they are always working on their story lines and worlds.
